Chapter 2 · Prayer (Kitab Al-Salat)التَّخَلُّفِ عَنِ الْجَمَاعَةِ، فِي اللَّيْلَةِ الْبَارِدَةِ
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ نَزَلَ بِضَجْنَانَ فِي لَيْلَةٍ بَارِدَةٍ، فَأَمَرَ الْمُنَادِيَ فَنَادَى أَنِ الصَّلَاةُ فِي الرِّحَالِ. قَالَ أَيُّوبُ، وَحَدَّثَنَا نَافِعٌ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا كَانَتْ لَيْلَةٌ بَارِدَةٌ أَوْ مَطِيرَةٌ أَمَرَ الْمُنَادِيَ فَنَادَى الصَّلَاةُ فِي الرِّحَالِ .

Not Attending The Congregational Prayer On A Cold Night Or A Rainy Day
Ibn Umar رضی اللہ عنہما stayed at Dajnan (a place between Makkah and Madina) on a cold night. He commanded an announcer (to announce). He announced that the people should offer prayer in their dwellings. Ayyub said: Nafi narrated on the authority of Ibn Umar that whenever there was a cold or a rainy day night, the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم commanded the announcer (to announce). He announced to offer prayer in the dwellings.
