The Arabic text and the translations come from our previous collection: English from hadithapi.com, German and Turkish machine-translated (Gemini) and unreviewed. A new translation from the Arabic with the chain of narration will follow.
Umar bin al-Khattab رضی اللہ عنہ saw a suit of silken cloth being sold in the market. He took it to the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم, and said: Purchase it ad decorate with it on Eid on the occasion of the arrival of delegations. The narrator then narrated the tradition. The former version is complete.
