Chapter 9 · Zakat (Kitab Al-Zakat)الْفَقِيرِ يُهْدِي لِلْغَنِيِّ مِنَ الصَّدَقَةِ
حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ مَرْزُوقٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أُتِيَ بِلَحْمٍ، قَالَ: مَا هَذَا ؟ قَالُوا: شَيْءٌ تُصُدِّقَ بِهِ عَلَى بَرِيرَةَ، فَقَالَ: هُوَ لَهَا صَدَقَةٌ وَلَنَا هَدِيَّةٌ .

A Poor Man Can Give A Gift From The Sadaqah To A Rich Man
When some meat was brought to the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم, he asked What is this? He was told this is a thing (meat), which was given as sadaqah to Barirah رضی اللہ عنہا . Thereupon, he said it is sadaqah for her and a gift to us.
