Chapter 15 · Jihad (Kitab Al-Jihad)فِي الطَّاعَةِ
حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ، قَالَ: قَالَ ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ: يَأَ ايُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَطِيعُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُوا الرَّسُولَ وَأُولِي الأَمْرِ مِنْكُمْ سورة النساء آية 59، فِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ قَيْسِ بْنِ عَدِيٍّ بَعَثَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي سَرِيَّةٍ أَخْبَرَنِيه ِ يَعْلَى، عَن سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ َعَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ.

Regarding Obedience
“O ye who believe, Obey Allaah and obey the Messenger and those charged with authority amongst you. ” This verse was revealed about Abdullah bin Qais bin Adi رضی اللہ عنہ whom the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم sent along with a detachment. Yala narrated it to me from Saeed bin Jubair on the authority of Ibn Abbas.
