The Arabic text and the translations come from our previous collection: English from hadithapi.com, German and Turkish machine-translated (Gemini) and unreviewed. A new translation from the Arabic with the chain of narration will follow.
The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم saw a man that he was supported between his sons. He asked about him, and (the people) said: He has taken a vow to walk (on foot). Thereupon he said: Allah has no need that this man should punish himself, and he ordered him to ride. Abu Dawud said: Amr bin Abi Amir has also narrated a similar tradition from al-Araj on the authority of Abu Hurairah رضی اللہ عنہ from the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم.
