Chapter 43 · General Behavior (Kitab Al-Adab)فِي الْمُتَشَبِّعِ بِمَا لَمْ يُعْطَ
حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ الْمُنْذِرِ، عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، أَنَّ امْرَأَةً قَالَتْ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، إِنَّ لِي جَارَةً تَعْنِي ضَرَّةً هَلْ عَلَيَّ جُنَاحٌ إِنْ تَشَبَّعْتُ لَهَا بِمَا لَمْ يُعْطِ زَوْجِي ؟ قَالَ: الْمُتَشَبِّعُ بِمَا لَمْ يُعْطَ كَلَابِسِ ثَوْبَيْ زُورٍ .

A woman said: Messenger of Allah! I have a fellow-wife; will it be wrong for me to boast of receiving from my husband what he does not give me? He replied: the one who boasts of receiving what he has not been given is like him who has put on two garments of falsehood.
