Chapter 2 · Prayer (Kitab Al-Salat)
Sahih

The Arabic text and the translations come from our previous collection: English from hadithapi.com, German and Turkish machine-translated (Gemini) and unreviewed. A new translation from the Arabic with the chain of narration will follow.

When the prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم prayed sitting, he recited the Quran in sitting condition. When the amount of his recitation remained about thirty or forty verses he stood up and recited them standing. He then bowed and prostrated and then did so in the second Rak’ah of the prayer. Abu Dawud said: Alqamah bin Waqqas narrated this tradition on the authority of Aishah رضی اللہ عنہا from the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم to the same effect.
