حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ـ رضى الله عنها ـ أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي بَيْتِهِ وَهْوَ شَاكٍ، فَصَلَّى جَالِسًا وَصَلَّى وَرَاءَهُ قَوْمٌ قِيَامًا، فَأَشَارَ إِلَيْهِمْ أَنِ اجْلِسُوا، فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَ قَالَ " إِنَّمَا جُعِلَ الإِمَامُ لِيُؤْتَمَّ بِهِ، فَإِذَا رَكَعَ فَارْكَعُوا، وَإِذَا رَفَعَ فَارْفَعُوا ".

To offer Salat (prayers) while sitting
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) prayed in his house while sitting during his illness and the people prayed behind him standing and he pointed to them to sit down. When he had finished the prayer, he said, "The Imam is to be followed and so when he bows you should bow; and when he lifts his head you should also do the same."

Aischa (Möge Allah mit ihr zufrieden sein) berichtete, dass sie sagte: Der Gesandte Allahs (ﷺ) betete in seinem Haus, während er krank war. Er betete sitzend, und eine Gruppe von Leuten betete stehend hinter ihm. Daraufhin signalisierte er ihnen, sich zu setzen. Als er das Gebet beendet hatte, sagte er: „Der Imam wurde nur eingesetzt, damit ihm gefolgt wird. Wenn er sich zur Verbeugung (Ruku‘) niederbeugt, dann beugt euch auch nieder; und wenn er sich erhebt, dann erhebt euch auch.“

Aişe (r.a.) şöyle dediğini rivayet etmiştir: Allah Resulü (ﷺ) hasta olduğu bir sırada evinde namaz kıldı. O oturarak namaz kılıyordu ve arkasındaki bir topluluk ayakta namaz kılıyordu. Bunun üzerine onlara oturmalarını işaret etti. Namazı bitirince şöyle buyurdu: “İmam, sadece kendisine uyulsun diye tayin edilmiştir. O rükûya gittiği zaman siz de rükû edin ve başını kaldırdığı zaman siz de kaldırın.”
