Chapter 24 · Funerals (Al-Janaa'iz)لَيْسَ مِنَّا مَنْ ضَرَبَ الْخُدُودَ
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُرَّةَ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " لَيْسَ مِنَّا مَنْ ضَرَبَ الْخُدُودَ، وَشَقَّ الْجُيُوبَ، وَدَعَا بِدَعْوَى الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ ".

He who slaps his cheeks is not from us
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "He who slaps the cheeks, tears the clothes and follows the tradition of the Days of Ignorance is not from us."

Abdullah [ibn Mas'ud] (Allahs Wohlgefallen auf ihm) berichtete, dass der Prophet (ﷺ) sprach: „Er gehört nicht zu uns, wer die Wangen schlägt, die Gewänder zerreißt und mit dem Ruf der Dschāhiliyya ruft.“
