Chapter 8 · Prayers (Salat)
Sahih

One should not spit to one's right in prayer

Translation

Abu Hurairah and Abu Sa'id al-Khudri reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw sputum on the wall of the mosque. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ took a pebble and rubbed it off. Then he said, “When one of you brings up phlegm, let him not expel it in front of his face or to his right, but let him spit to his left or under his left foot.”
