أَحَبُّ الدِّينِ إِلَى اللَّهِ أَدْوَمُهُ

The most beloved of the religion to Allah is that which is most constant

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم دَخَلَ عَلَيْهَا وَعِنْدَهَا امْرَأَةٌ قَالَ " مَنْ هَذِهِ ". قَالَتْ فُلاَنَةُ. تَذْكُرُ مِنْ صَلاَتِهَا. قَالَ " مَهْ، عَلَيْكُمْ بِمَا تُطِيقُونَ، فَوَاللَّهِ لاَ يَمَلُّ اللَّهُ حَتَّى تَمَلُّوا ". وَكَانَ أَحَبَّ الدِّينِ إِلَيْهِ مَا دَامَ عَلَيْهِ صَاحِبُهُ.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ هِشَامٍ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ،

Aishah reported: The Prophet ﷺ came in to her while a woman was with her. He said, “Who is this?” She said, “So-and-so,” and spoke of her (much) praying. He said, “Enough! Take upon yourselves what you are able to bear. By Allah, Allah does not grow weary until you grow weary.” And the most beloved of the religion to him was that which the one practising it kept up constantly.
