Chapter 66 · Prophetic Commentary on the Qur'an (Tafseer of the Prophet (PBUH))
Sahih

{يَا أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ لِمَ تُحَرِّمُ مَا أَحَلَّ اللَّهُ لَكَ تَبْتَغِي مَرْضَاةَ أَزْوَاجِكَ وَاللَّهُ غَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ}

Translation

Not reworked yet

The Arabic text and the translations come from our previous collection: English from hadithapi.com, German and Turkish machine-translated (Gemini) and unreviewed. A new translation from the Arabic with the chain of narration will follow.

"O Prophet! Why do you forbid (for yourself) that which Allah has allowed to you?..." (V.66:1)

If someone says to his wife, "You are unlawful to me." he must make an expiation (for his oath). Ibn `Abbas رضی اللہ عنہما added: There is for you in Allah's Messenger (ﷺ), an excellent example to follow.
