The Arabic text and the translations come from our previous collection: English from hadithapi.com, German and Turkish machine-translated (Gemini) and unreviewed. A new translation from the Arabic with the chain of narration will follow.
I heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) saying, "If the son of Adam had money equal to a valley, then he will wish for another similar to it, for nothing can satisfy the eye of Adam's son except dust. And Allah forgives him who repents to Him." Ibn `Abbas رضی اللہ عنہما said: I do not know whether this saying was quoted from the Qur'an or not. `Ata' said, "I heard Ibn Az Zubair رضی اللہ عنہما saying this narration while he was on the pulpit."
