Chapter 97 · Interpretation of Dreamsإِذَا رَأَى بَقَرًا تُنْحَرُ
حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلاَءِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، عَنْ بُرَيْدٍ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى، أُرَاهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " رَأَيْتُ فِي الْمَنَامِ أَنِّي أُهَاجِرُ مِنْ مَكَّةَ إِلَى أَرْضٍ بِهَا نَخْلٌ، فَذَهَبَ وَهَلِي إِلَى أَنَّهَا الْيَمَامَةُ أَوْ هَجَرٌ، فَإِذَا هِيَ الْمَدِينَةُ يَثْرِبُ، وَرَأَيْتُ فِيهَا بَقَرًا وَاللَّهُ خَيْرٌ، فَإِذَا هُمُ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ، وَإِذَا الْخَيْرُ مَا جَاءَ اللَّهُ مِنَ الْخَيْرِ وَثَوَابِ الصِّدْقِ الَّذِي أَتَانَا اللَّهُ بِهِ بَعْدَ يَوْمِ بَدْرٍ ".

If one sees (in a dream) cows being slaughtered
The Prophet (ﷺ) said: I, in dream, beheld that I was emigrating from Makkah to a place where there were date-palms. So, I thought it would be Yamamah or Hajar but it was Madinah called Yathrab (then). So, I saw a cow and the goodness of Allah. The cow represents those Muslims who were martyred in the battle of Ohud and the goodness stands for the goodness that Allah conferred upon us, and the reward of the truth which Allah bestowed on us after ther battle of Badr.
