Chapter 11 · Call to Prayers (Adhaan) (Sufa-Tu-Salat)حَدَّثَنَا آدَمُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا وَائِلٍ، قَالَ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ فَقَالَ قَرَأْتُ الْمُفَصَّلَ اللَّيْلَةَ فِي رَكْعَةٍ. فَقَالَ هَذًّا كَهَذِّ الشِّعْرِ لَقَدْ عَرَفْتُ النَّظَائِرَ الَّتِي كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقْرِنُ بَيْنَهُنَّ فَذَكَرَ عِشْرِينَ سُورَةً مِنَ الْمُفَصَّلِ سُورَتَيْنِ فِي كُلِّ رَكْعَةٍ.

A man came to Ibn Mas`ud رضی اللہ عنہما and said, "I recited the Mufassal (Suras) at night in one rak`a." Ibn Mas`ud said, "This recitation is (too quick) like the recitation of poetry. I know the identical Suras which the Prophet (ﷺ) used to recite in pairs." Ibn Mas`ud then mentioned 20 Mufassal Suras including two Suras from the family of (i.e. those verses which begin with) Ha, Meem [??] (which the Prophet (ﷺ) used to recite) in each rak`a.

Adam berichtete uns, indem er sagte, dass Shu’bah uns berichtete, von Amr ibn Murrah, der sagte: Ich hörte Abu Wa’il sagen: Ein Mann kam zu Ibn Mas’ud und sagte: „Ich habe heute Nacht das gesamte Mufassal (Kapitel) in einer Rak’ah rezitiert.“ Darauf sagte (Ibn Mas’ud): „Das ist ein Hasten, wie das Hasten eines Gedichts! Ich kenne wahrlich die passenden Paare (an Suren), die der Prophet (ﷺ) pflegte, miteinander zu verbinden.“ Dann erwähnte er zwanzig Suren aus dem Mufassal – zwei Suren in jeder Rak’ah.

Âdem bize rivayet etti, dedi ki: Şu’be bize, Amr İbn Murra’dan rivayet etti, dedi ki: Ebû Vâil’i şöyle derken işittim: Bir adam İbn Mes’ûd’a gelerek: “Bu gece Mufassal’ı bir rekâtta okudum,” dedi. Bunun üzerine İbn Mes’ûd şöyle buyurdu: “Şiir okur gibi acele ettin! Ben, Nebî’nin (s.a.v.) eşleştirerek okuduğu benzer sureleri çok iyi bilirim.” Sonra Mufassal’dan, her rekâtta iki sure olacak şekilde yirmi sure zikretti.
