حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: لَا عَدْوَى وَلَا طِيَرَةَ، وَلَا هَامَةَ وَلَا صَفَرَ .

It was narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “There is no ‘Adwa, no omen, no Hamah and no Safar.”*
