Chapter 41 · Zuhdحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ طَرِيفٍ، وَإِسْحَاق بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ حَبِيبٍ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ، عَنْ مُجَالِدٍ، عَنْ عَامِرٍ، عَنْ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ: أُهْدِيَتِ ابْنَةُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَيَّ، فَمَا كَانَ فِرَاشُنَا، لَيْلَةَ أُهْدِيَتْ، إِلَّا مَسْكَ كَبْشٍ .

It was narrated that ‘Ali said: “The daughter of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was permitted to me as a bride, and our bed on the night when she was presented to me, was no more than the hide of a ram.”
