Chapter 6 · The Book of Mosques and Places of Prayerحَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ أَبِي مَعْبَدٍ، مَوْلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَهُ يُخْبِرُ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: «مَا كُنَّا نَعْرِفُ انْقِضَاءَ صَلَاةِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَّا بِالتَّكْبِيرِ» قَالَ عَمْرٌو: فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِأَبِي مَعْبَدٍ فَأَنْكَرَهُ، وَقَالَ: لَمْ أُحَدِّثْكَ بِهَذَا، قَالَ عَمْرٌو: وَقَدِ اَخْبَرَنِيهِ قَبْلَ ذَلِكَ.

The Arabic text and the translations come from our previous collection: English from hadithapi.com, German and Turkish machine-translated (Gemini) and unreviewed. A new translation from the Arabic with the chain of narration will follow.
We knew the finishing of the prayer of the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) through takbir. 'Amr (bin Dinar) said: I made a mention of it to Abu Mabad and he rejected it and said: I never narrated it to you. 'Amr said: He did narrate it before this.
