Chapter 8 · The Book Of the Merit Of The Holy Quranالأَوْقَاتِ الَّتِي نُهِيَ عَنِ الصَّلاَةِ، فِيهَا .
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى قَالَ قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مَالِكٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَبَّانَ عَنْ الْأَعْرَجِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْ الصَّلَاةِ بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ حَتَّى تَغْرُبَ الشَّمْسُ وَعَنْ الصَّلَاةِ بَعْدَ الصُّبْحِ حَتَّى تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ.

The times when it is forbidden to offer salat
The Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) prohibited to observe prayer after the 'Asr prayer till the sun is set, and after the dawn till the sun rises.
