Chapter 8 · The Book Of the Merit Of The Holy Quranلاَ تَتَحَرَّوْا بِصَلاَتِكُمْ طُلُوعَ الشَّمْسِ وَلاَ غُرُوبَهَا
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ طَاوُسٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ وَهِمَ عُمَرُ إِنَّمَا نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يُتَحَرَّى طُلُوعُ الشَّمْسِ وَغُرُوبُهَا.

Do not aim to pray when the sun is rising or setting
'Umar رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ misconstrued the fact that the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) had prohibited the observance of prayer at the time of the rising sun and at the time of its setting.
