Chapter 13 · The Book of Prayer - Funeralsأَيْنَ يَقُومُ الإِمَامُ مِنَ الْمَيِّتِ لِلصَّلاَةِ عَلَيْهِ
و حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى التَّمِيمِيُّ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ حُسَيْنِ بْنِ ذَكْوَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ بُرَيْدَةَ عَنْ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ قَالَ صَلَّيْتُ خَلْفَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَصَلَّى عَلَى أُمِّ كَعْبٍ مَاتَتْ وَهِيَ نُفَسَاءُ فَقَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِلصَّلَاةِ عَلَيْهَا وَسَطَهَا.

Where the Imam should stand in relation to the deceased when performing the funeral prayer
I prayed behind the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) When he offer the funeral prayer for Umm K'ab رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا who had died in the state of delivery. The prophet ﷺ stood to pray for her in line with her middle.
