Chapter 14 · The Book of Zakatإِرْضَاءِ السُّعَاةِ
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كَامِلٍ فُضَيْلُ بْنُ حُسَيْنٍ الْجَحْدَرِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي إِسْمَعِيلَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ هِلَالٍ الْعَبْسِيُّ عَنْ جَرِيرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ جَاءَ نَاسٌ مِنْ الْأَعْرَابِ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالُوا إِنَّ نَاسًا مِنْ الْمُصَدِّقِينَ يَأْتُونَنَا فَيَظْلِمُونَنَا قَالَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَرْضُوا مُصَدِّقِيكُمْ قَالَ جَرِيرٌ مَا صَدَرَ عَنِّي مُصَدِّقٌ مُنْذُ سَمِعْتُ هَذَا مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَّا وَهُوَ عَنِّي رَاضٍ.

Pleasing the Su'ah (Zakat Collectors)
There came people from among the Bedouins to the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) and said: Collectors of Sadaqa come to us and treat us unjustly. Upon this the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) said: Please your collectors. Jarir رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ said: Ever since I heard it from the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) no collector had departed but was pleased with me.
