وحَدَّثَنِيهِ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الدَّارِمِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ، أَخْبَرَنَا شُعَيْبٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ أَيْضًا، وَفِي حَدِيثِهِمَا جَمِيعًا قَالَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ: أَخْبَرَنِي مَنْ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ كَمَا ذَكَرَ عُقَيْلٌ.
