Chapter 41 · The Book of Clothes and Adornmentاسْتِحْبَابِ لُبْسِ النِّعَالِ وَمَا فِي مَعْنَاهَا
حَدَّثَنِي سَلَمَةُ بْنُ شَبِيبٍ حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ أَعْيَنَ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْقِلٌ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ فِي غَزْوَةٍ غَزَوْنَاهَا اسْتَكْثِرُوا مِنْ النِّعَالِ فَإِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَا يَزَالُ رَاكِبًا مَا انْتَعَلَ.

I heard Allah's Apostle ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) saying during an expedition in which we also participated: Make a general practice of wearing sandals, for a man is riding as it were when he wears sandals.
