Chapter 49 · The Book of Virtue, Enjoining Good Manners, and Joining of the Ties of Kinshipاسْتِحْبَابِ الشَّفَاعَةِ فِيمَا لَيْسَ بِحَرَامٍ
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ وَحَفْصُ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ عَنْ بُرَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا أَتَاهُ طَالِبُ حَاجَةٍ أَقْبَلَ عَلَى جُلَسَائِهِ فَقَالَ اشْفَعُوا فَلْتُؤْجَرُوا وَلْيَقْضِ اللَّهُ عَلَى لِسَانِ نَبِيِّهِ مَا أَحَبَّ.

It Is Recommend To Intercede With Regard To That Which Is Not Unlawful
When any needy (person) came to Allah's Messenger ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) with a need he commanded him to his Companions, saying: Make a recommendation for him, and you would get the reward. Allah, however, gives the verdict through the tongue of His Apostle what He likes most.
