قُلْ مَا يَعْبَؤُا۟ بِكُمْ رَبِّى لَوْلَا دُعَآؤُكُمْ ۖ فَقَدْ كَذَّبْتُمْ فَسَوْفَ يَكُونُ لِزَامًۢا
(77) Say, "What would my Lord care for you if not for your supplication?"[1040] For you [disbelievers] have denied, so it [i.e., your denial] is going to be adherent.[1041]
Translator's notes
[1040]- i.e., faith and worship. An alternative meaning is "What would my Lord do with you..." [1041]- It will remain with them, causing punishment to be required and imperative upon them.
