Kapitel 32 · Dialects and Readings of the Qur'an (Kitab Al-Huruf Wa Al-Qira'at)حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى، حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ، عَنْ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي عُمَرُ بْنُ عَطَاءٍ، أَنَّ مَوْلًى لِابْنِ الْأَسْقَعِ رَجُلَ صِدْقٍ أَخْبَرَهُ، عَنْ ابْنِ الْأَسْقَعِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَهُ، يَقُولُ: إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ جَاءَهُمْ فِي صُفَّةِ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ فَسَأَلَهُ إِنْسَانٌ أَيُّ آيَةٍ فِي الْقُرْآنِ أَعْظَمُ ؟ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: اللَّهُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ لَا تَأْخُذُهُ سِنَةٌ وَلَا نَوْمٌ .

The Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم came to them in the swelling place of immigrants and a man asked him: Which is the greatest verse of the Quran ? The Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم replied: Allah, there is no god but He - the Living, the Self-Subsisting Eternal. No slumber can seize Him nor sleep.
