Kapitel 6 · The Book of Mosques and Places of Prayerحَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى، وَيَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ، وَقُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، وَابْنُ حُجْرٍ - قَالَ يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى: أَخْبَرَنَا، وَقَالَ الْآخَرُونَ: - حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ وَهُوَ ابْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ خُصَيْفَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ قُسَيْطٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، أَنَّهُ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ زَيْدَ بْنَ ثَابِتٍ عَنِ الْقِرَاءَةِ مَعَ الْإِمَامِ، فَقَالَ: لَا، قِرَاءَةَ مَعَ الْإِمَامِ فِي شَيْءٍ، «وَزَعَمَ أَنَّهُ قَرَأَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَالنَّجْمِ إِذَا هَوَى فَلَمْ يَسْجُدْ».

There should be no recital along with the Imam in anything, and alleged that he recited: By the star when it sets (Surah Najm) before the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) and he did not prostrate himself.
