Chapter 19 · Shortening the Prayers (At-Taqseer)الصَّلاَةِ بِمِنًى
حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي نَافِعٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ صَلَّيْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِمِنًى رَكْعَتَيْنِ، وَأَبِي بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ، وَمَعَ عُثْمَانَ صَدْرًا مِنْ إِمَارَتِهِ ثُمَّ أَتَمَّهَا.

As-Salat (the prayers) at Mina (during Hajj)
I offered the prayer with the Prophet, Abu Bakr and `Umar رضی اللہ عنہما at Mina and it was of two rak`at. `Uthman رضی اللہ عنہ in the early days of his caliphate did the same, but later on he started praying the full prayer.

Abdullah (رضى الله عنه) berichtete: Ich verrichtete das Gebet mit dem Propheten (ﷺ) in Mina mit zwei Rak'at, ebenso wie mit Abu Bakr und Umar. Mit Uthman (رضى الله عنه) verrichtete ich es auch so für den ersten Teil seiner Regentschaft, doch danach betete er es vollständig.
