Chapter 19 · Shortening the Prayers (At-Taqseer)مَنْ تَطَوَّعَ فِي السَّفَرِ فِي غَيْرِ دُبُرِ الصَّلَوَاتِ وَقَبْلَهَا
حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى، قَالَ مَا أَنْبَأَ أَحَدٌ، أَنَّهُ رَأَى النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم صَلَّى الضُّحَى غَيْرُ أُمِّ هَانِئٍ ذَكَرَتْ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَوْمَ فَتْحِ مَكَّةَ اغْتَسَلَ فِي بَيْتِهَا، فَصَلَّى ثَمَانِ رَكَعَاتٍ، فَمَا رَأَيْتُهُ صَلَّى صَلاَةً أَخَفَّ مِنْهَا، غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ يُتِمُّ الرُّكُوعَ وَالسُّجُودَ.

Only Um Hani رضی اللہ عنہا told us that she had seen the Prophet (ﷺ) offering the Duha (forenoon prayer). She said, "On the day of the conquest of Mecca, the Prophet (ﷺ) took a bath in my house and offered eight rak`at. I never saw him praying such a light prayer but he performed perfect prostration and bowing.

Ibn Abi Layla berichtete: Niemand informierte [mich], dass er den Propheten (☪) beim Verrichten des Duha-Gebets (Vormittagsgebet) sah, außer Umm Hani'. Sie erzählte, dass der Prophet (☪) am Tage der Eroberung Mekkas (Fath Makka) in ihrem Haus die Ganzkörperwaschung (Ghusl) vollzog und anschließend acht Rak’at betete. İbn Ebi Leyla şöyle dedi: Resûlullah’ın (☪) Duha (kuşluk) namazı kıldığını gördüğünü bana Ümmü Hani’ dışında kimse bildirmedi. Ümmü Hani’ zikretti ki: Mekke’nin Fethi günü, Nebi (☪) onun evinde gusül abdesti aldı ve sekiz rekât namaz kıldı. Ben onu, bundan daha hafif bir namaz kılarken görmedim; ancak O, rükûyu ve secdeleri tam yapıyordu.
