Chapter 20 · Prayer at Night (Tahajjud)عَقْدِ الشَّيْطَانِ عَلَى قَافِيَةِ الرَّأْسِ إِذَا لَمْ يُصَلِّ بِاللَّيْلِ
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، عَنِ الأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " يَعْقِدُ الشَّيْطَانُ عَلَى قَافِيَةِ رَأْسِ أَحَدِكُمْ إِذَا هُوَ نَامَ ثَلاَثَ عُقَدٍ، يَضْرِبُ كُلَّ عُقْدَةٍ عَلَيْكَ لَيْلٌ طَوِيلٌ فَارْقُدْ، فَإِنِ اسْتَيْقَظَ فَذَكَرَ اللَّهَ انْحَلَّتْ عُقْدَةٌ، فَإِنْ تَوَضَّأَ انْحَلَّتْ عُقْدَةٌ، فَإِنْ صَلَّى انْحَلَّتْ عُقْدَةٌ فَأَصْبَحَ نَشِيطًا طَيِّبَ النَّفْسِ، وَإِلاَّ أَصْبَحَ خَبِيثَ النَّفْسِ كَسْلاَنَ ".

Satan'a tying of knots at the back of the head if one does not offer the ight prayer
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "Satan puts three knots at the back of the head of any of you if he is asleep. On every knot he reads and exhales the following words, 'The night is long, so stay asleep.' When one wakes up and remembers Allah, one knot is undone; and when one performs ablution, the second knot is undone, and when one prays the third knot is undone and one gets up energetic with a good heart in the morning; otherwise one gets up lazy and with a mischievous heart."

Abu Hurayrah (Allahs Wohlgefallen auf ihm) berichtete, dass der Gesandte Allahs (ﷺ) sprach: „Der Satan bindet bei jedem von euch, wenn er schläft, drei Knoten auf den Hinterkopf. Er schlägt auf jeden Knoten [und sagt]: 'Die Nacht ist lang für dich, so schlafe weiter.' Wenn er nun aufwacht und Allah gedenkt, löst sich ein Knoten. Wenn er dann die rituelle Waschung (Wudu) vollzieht, löst sich ein weiterer Knoten. Wenn er betet, löst sich der dritte Knoten. So erwacht er bei Tagesanbruch energiegeladen und mit guter Stimmung. Andernfalls erwacht er mit schlechter Stimmung und faul.“

Abu Hurayrah’tan (Allah ondan razı olsun) rivayet edildiğine göre, Allah Resûlü (ﷺ) şöyle buyurdu: “Sizden biriniz uyuduğu zaman şeytan, başının arka kısmına üç düğüm atar. Her bir düğüme vurarak [şöyle der]: 'Senin için gece uzundur, uyu!' Eğer kişi uyanır ve Allah’ı anarsa, bir düğüm çözülür. Eğer abdest alırsa, bir düğüm daha çözülür. Eğer namaz kılarsa, son düğüm de çözülür. Böylece sabahleyin dinç ve gönlü hoş bir halde uyanır. Aksi takdirde, gönlü kötü ve tembel bir halde sabaha ulaşır.”
