Chapter 24 · Funerals (Al-Janaa'iz)حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ كُنَّا فِي جَنَازَةٍ فَأَخَذَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ بِيَدِ مَرْوَانَ فَجَلَسَا قَبْلَ أَنْ تُوضَعَ، فَجَاءَ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ فَأَخَذَ بِيَدِ مَرْوَانَ فَقَالَ قُمْ فَوَاللَّهِ لَقَدْ عَلِمَ هَذَا أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم نَهَانَا عَنْ ذَلِكَ. فَقَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ صَدَقَ.

That his father said, "While we were accompanying a funeral procession, Abu Huraira رضی اللہ عنہ got hold of the hand of Marwan and they sat down before the coffin was put down. Then Abu Sa`id came and took hold of Marwan's hand and said, "Get up. By Allah, no doubt this (i.e. Abu Huraira رضی اللہ عنہ) knows that the Prophet forbade us to do that." Abu Huraira رضی اللہ عنہ said, "He (Abu Sa`id رضی اللہ عنہ) has spoken the truth."

Sa’īd al-Maqburīs Vater berichtete: Wir waren bei einem Trauerzug, als Abu Huraira (radiyallahu anhu) Marwans Hand ergriff und beide sich hinsetzten, bevor [die Bahre] abgestellt wurde. Dann kam Abu Sa’īd (radiyallahu anhu) hinzu, nahm Marwans Hand und sagte: „Steh auf! Bei Allah, dieser hier [Abu Huraira] weiß gewiss, dass der Prophet (ﷺ) uns dies verboten hat.“ Daraufhin erwiderte Abu Huraira (radiyallahu anhu): „Er hat die Wahrheit gesprochen.“

Sa’īd al-Maqburī’nin babası anlattı: Bir cenazede bulunuyorduk. Ebu Hureyre (radiyallahu anhu), Mervan’ın elini tuttu ve (naaş) yere konulmadan oturdular. Ardından Ebu Sa’id (radiyallahu anhu) geldi, Mervan’ın elini tuttu ve şöyle dedi: „Kalk! Allah'a yemin olsun ki, bu kişi [Ebu Hureyre], Nebi’nin (sallallahu aleyhi wa sallam) bize bunu yasakladığını kesinlikle biliyor.“ Bunun üzerine Ebu Hureyre (radiyallahu anhu): „Doğru söyledi“ diye karşılık verdi.
