الْتِمَاسِ الْوَضُوءِ إِذَا حَانَتِ الصَّلاَةُ

رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَحَانَتْ صَلاَةُ الْعَصْرِ، فَالْتَمَسَ النَّاسُ الْوَضُوءَ فَلَمْ يَجِدُوهُ، فَأُتِيَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِوَضُوءٍ، فَوَضَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي ذَلِكَ الإِنَاءِ يَدَهُ، وَأَمَرَ النَّاسَ أَنْ يَتَوَضَّئُوا مِنْهُ. قَالَ فَرَأَيْتُ الْمَاءَ يَنْبُعُ مِنْ تَحْتِ أَصَابِعِهِ حَتَّى تَوَضَّئُوا مِنْ عِنْدِ آخِرِهِمْ.

Anas ibn Malik reported: I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when the time of the Asr prayer had come. The people looked for water for ablution (wudu) but did not find any. Then water for ablution was brought to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ placed his hand in that vessel and ordered the people to perform ablution from it. He said: And I saw the water springing forth from beneath his fingers until they had performed ablution, down to the last of them.
