Chapter 4 · Ablutions (Wudu')
Sahih

If a dog drinks from the vessel of one of you, let him wash it seven times

Translation

Adi ibn Hatim reported: I asked the Prophet ﷺ, and he said, “If you send your trained dog and it kills (the game), then eat. But if it eats of it, do not eat, for it has caught it only for itself.” I said, “I send my dog and then find another dog with it.” He said, “Then do not eat, for you mentioned (the name of Allah) only over your dog and did not mention it over another dog.”

Hâtim (r.a.)
