Chapter 4 · Ablutions (Wudu')الْوُضُوءِ مِنَ النَّوْمِ وَمَنْ لَمْ يَرَ مِنَ النَّعْسَةِ وَالنَّعْسَتَيْنِ أَوِ الْخَفْقَةِ وُضُوءًا
Ablution after sleep, and one who does not consider ablution necessary after dozing off once or twice or a brief nod of the head
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " إِذَا نَعَسَ أَحَدُكُمْ فِي الصَّلاَةِ فَلْيَنَمْ حَتَّى يَعْلَمَ مَا يَقْرَأُ ".

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَعْمَرٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلاَبَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ،
Translation
Anas ibn Malik reported from the Prophet ﷺ that he said, “When one of you becomes drowsy in the prayer, let him sleep until he knows what he is reciting.”
