Contact with a menstruating woman

Translation
Aishah reported: When one of us was menstruating and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wanted to touch her, he would instruct her to put on a waist-wrapper at the height of her menses, then he would touch her. She said, “And which of you controls his desire as the Prophet ﷺ controlled his desire?”
Translator’s note: “Touch”: bodily closeness without intercourse is meant. “Height”: the time of the heaviest bleeding.
