The vein of prolonged bleeding (istihadah)

Translation

Aishah reported that Umm Habibah suffered from prolonged bleeding (istihadah) for seven years. She asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about it, and he commanded her to perform the ritual bath (ghusl), and said, “This is a vein.” So she used to perform the ritual bath for every prayer.

Translator’s note: “This is a vein”: the blood comes from a vein and is not menstruation.

Deutsch
