Translation
Aishah reported: When (death) came upon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, he began to throw a patterned woollen cloth of his over his face, and when he felt stifled by it, he would uncover his face. And while he was like that, he said, “The curse of Allah be upon the Jews and the Christians! They took the graves of their prophets as places of prayer.” He was warning against what they had done.
