People with spears in the mosque
لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَوْمًا عَلَى باب حُجْرَتِي، وَالْحَبَشَةُ يَلْعَبُونَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَسْتُرُنِي بِرِدَائِهِ، أَنْظُرُ إِلَى لَعِبِهِمْ. رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَالْحَبَشَةُ يَلْعَبُونَ بِحِرَابِهِمْ.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ صَالِحٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عُرْوَةُ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ، أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ
Translation
Aishah reported: I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ one day at the door of my chamber while the Abyssinians were playing in the mosque, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was screening me with his upper wrap (rida') as I watched their play. … I saw the Prophet ﷺ while the Abyssinians were playing with their spears.
Translator’s note: The part after “…” is an addition from another transmission (Ibrahim ibn al-Mundhir via Ibn Wahb, Yunus and Ibn Shihab from Urwah from Aishah). The play of the Abyssinians was a display with spears.

Translator’s note: Der Teil nach „…“ ist ein Zusatz aus einer weiteren Überlieferung (Ibrahim ibn al-Mundhir über Ibn Wahb, Yunus und Ibn Schihab von Urwa von Aischa). Das Spiel der Abessinier war ein Waffenspiel mit Speeren.

Âişe (r.a.) şöyle rivayet etti: Bir gün Resûlullah'ı ﷺ odamın kapısında gördüm; Habeşliler mescidde oyun oynuyorlardı. Ben onların oyununu seyrederken Resûlullah ﷺ beni ridâsıyla örtüyordu. … Nebî'yi ﷺ gördüm; Habeşliler de mızraklarıyla oyun oynuyorlardı.
Translator’s note: “…” işaretinden sonraki kısım başka bir rivayetten bir ilavedir (İbrâhim b. Münzir, İbn Vehb, Yûnus ve İbn Şihâb kanalıyla Urve'den, o da Âişe'den). Habeşlilerin oyunu mızraklarla yapılan bir silah gösterisiydi.
