Sahih

The virtue of the Asr prayer

Translation

Abu Hurairah reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Angels take turns among you, angels by night and angels by day, and they gather at the Fajr prayer and the Asr prayer. Then those who spent the night among you ascend, and He asks them – and He knows best about them – ‘How did you leave My servants?’ They say, ‘We left them while they were praying, and we came to them while they were praying.’”

Ebû Hüreyre (r.a.), Resûlullah'ın ﷺ şöyle buyurduğunu rivayet etti: “Gece melekleri ve gündüz melekleri aranızda nöbetleşirler; sabah namazında ve ikindi namazında bir araya gelirler. Sonra aranızda geceyi geçirenler yükselir. Onlar hakkında daha iyi bildiği hâlde Allah onlara: ‘Kullarımı nasıl bıraktınız?’ diye sorar. Onlar da: ‘Onları namaz kılarken bıraktık, namaz kılarken yanlarına vardık’ derler.”
