Chapter 10 · Call to Prayers (Adhaan)
Sahih

The virtue of the Fajr prayer in congregation

Translation

Umm ad-Darda' reported: Abu ad-Darda' came in to me angry, and I said, “What has made you angry?” He said, “By Allah, I do not recognize anything of the community of Muhammad ﷺ except that they pray together.”

Translator’s note: That is: of what the community practised in the time of the Prophet ﷺ, only the congregational prayer has remained.

Deutsch

Ümmü'd-Derdâ şöyle rivayet etti: Ebü'd-Derdâ (r.a.) öfkeli bir hâlde yanıma girdi. “Seni öfkelendiren nedir?” dedim. Şöyle dedi: “Vallahi Muhammed'in ﷺ ümmetinde, toplu hâlde namaz kılmaları dışında (eskiden bildiğim) hiçbir şey tanımıyorum.”

Translator’s note: Yani Nebî ﷺ zamanında uygulanan şeylerden geriye yalnızca cemaatle namaz kalmıştır.
