Chapter 12 · Friday Prayerحَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَسْمَاءَ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا جُوَيْرِيَةُ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ، بَيْنَمَا هُوَ قَائِمٌ فِي الْخُطْبَةِ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ إِذْ دَخَلَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ الأَوَّلِينَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَنَادَاهُ عُمَرُ أَيَّةُ سَاعَةٍ هَذِهِ قَالَ إِنِّي شُغِلْتُ فَلَمْ أَنْقَلِبْ إِلَى أَهْلِي حَتَّى سَمِعْتُ التَّأْذِينَ، فَلَمْ أَزِدْ أَنْ تَوَضَّأْتُ. فَقَالَ وَالْوُضُوءُ أَيْضًا وَقَدْ عَلِمْتَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ يَأْمُرُ بِالْغُسْلِ.

While `Umar bin Al-Khattab رضی اللہ عنہ was standing and delivering the sermon on a Friday, one of the companions of the Prophet, who was one of the foremost Muhajirs (emigrants) came. `Umar رضی اللہ عنہ said to him, "What is the time now?" He replied, "I was busy and could not go back to my house till I heard the Adhan. I did not perform more than the ablution." Thereupon `Umar رضی اللہ عنہ said to him, "Did you perform only the ablution although you know that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) (p.b.u.h) used to order us to take a bath (on Fridays)?"

Während `Umar ibn al-Chattab, Allahs Wohlgefallen auf ihm, am Freitag die Chutba (Predigt) hielt, kam ein Mann von den ersten Muhadschirun (Auswanderern) unter den Gefährten des Propheten, Allahs Segen und Frieden auf ihm. `Umar rief ihn zu sich: „Was für eine Stunde ist das (zu der du kommst)?“ Er antwortete: „Ich war beschäftigt und kehrte erst zu meiner Familie zurück, als ich den Adhan (Gebetsruf) hörte. Ich tat nichts weiter, als die Wudu (kleine Waschung) zu verrichten.“ Da sagte `Umar: „Und nur die Wudu? Wo du doch weißt, dass der Gesandte Allahs, Allahs Segen und Frieden auf ihm, die Ghusl (rituelle Ganzkörperwaschung) anzuordnen pflegte.“

Ömer İbnü’l-Hattâb, Allah ondan razı olsun, Cuma günü hutbe verirken, Nebi’nin, sallallahu aleyhi ve sellem, ashâbından olan ilk Muhâcirlerden bir adam geldi. Ömer ona seslenerek: “Bu saat nedir (ki yeni geliyorsun)?” diye sordu. Adam: “Ben meşguldüm ve ezanı duyana kadar evime dönemedim. Bundan fazla bir şey yapmadım, sadece abdest aldım.” diye cevap verdi. Bunun üzerine Ömer: “Sadece abdest mi? Oysa sen, Resûlullah’ın, sallallahu aleyhi ve sellem, guslü emrettiğini biliyorsun!” dedi.
