Chapter 12 · Friday Prayerحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ، عَنْ يَحْيَى، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ بَيْنَمَا هُوَ يَخْطُبُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ إِذْ دَخَلَ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ عُمَرُ لِمَ تَحْتَبِسُونَ عَنِ الصَّلاَةِ فَقَالَ الرَّجُلُ مَا هُوَ إِلاَّ سَمِعْتُ النِّدَاءَ تَوَضَّأْتُ. فَقَالَ أَلَمْ تَسْمَعُوا النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " إِذَا رَاحَ أَحَدُكُمْ إِلَى الْجُمُعَةِ فَلْيَغْتَسِلْ ".

While `Umar (bin Al-Khattab) رضی اللہ عنہ was delivering the Khutba on a Friday, a man entered (the mosque). `Umar رضی اللہ عنہ asked him, "What has detained you from the prayer?" The man said, "It was only that when I heard the Adhan I performed ablution (for the prayer)." On that `Umar said, "Did you not hear the Prophet saying: 'Anyone of you going out for the Jumua prayer should take a bath'?".

Während 'Umar (radiyallahu anhu) an einem Freitag die Khutba hielt, trat ein Mann ein. 'Umar fragte ihn: „Weshalb verspätet ihr euch zum Gebet?“ Der Mann entgegnete: „Ich hörte gerade erst den Gebetsruf (Nida') und vollzog sogleich die rituelle Teilwaschung (Wudu).“ Daraufhin sagte 'Umar: „Habt ihr nicht gehört, dass der Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) sagte: ‚Wenn einer von euch zum Freitagsgebet aufbricht, soll er die Ganzkörperwaschung (Ghusl) vollziehen‘?“

'Umar (r.a.) bir Cuma günü hutbe irat ederken bir adam içeri girdi. 'Umar (r.a.) ona: "Sizi namazdan alıkoyan nedir?" diye sordu. Adam: "Ben ezanı duyar duymaz hemen abdest aldım" dedi. Bunun üzerine 'Umar: "Peygamberimizin (s.a.v.): 'Sizden biri Cuma'ya gideceği zaman gusletsin' buyurduğunu işitmediniz mi?" dedi.
