حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ طَلْحَةَ، عَنْ زُبَيْدٍ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ، قَالَ خَرَجَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَوْمَ أَضْحًى إِلَى الْبَقِيعِ فَصَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ، ثُمَّ أَقْبَلَ عَلَيْنَا بِوَجْهِهِ وَقَالَ " إِنَّ أَوَّلَ نُسُكِنَا فِي يَوْمِنَا هَذَا أَنْ نَبْدَأَ بِالصَّلاَةِ، ثُمَّ نَرْجِعَ فَنَنْحَرَ، فَمَنْ فَعَلَ ذَلِكَ فَقَدْ وَافَقَ سُنَّتَنَا، وَمَنْ ذَبَحَ قَبْلَ ذَلِكَ فَإِنَّمَا هُوَ شَىْءٌ عَجَّلَهُ لأَهْلِهِ، لَيْسَ مِنَ النُّسُكِ فِي شَىْءٍ ". فَقَامَ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، إِنِّي ذَبَحْتُ وَعِنْدِي جَذَعَةٌ خَيْرٌ مِنْ مُسِنَّةٍ. قَالَ " اذْبَحْهَا، وَلاَ تَفِي عَنْ أَحَدٍ بَعْدَكَ ".

Nebi (s.a.v.) Kurban Bayramı günü (namaz kılmak için) Baki’ kabristanlığına doğru gitti, iki rekât namaz kıldı. Sonra yüzünü bize döndü ve şöyle buyurdu: “Şüphesiz bu günümüzdeki ilk ibadetimiz (Nusuk), namaz ile başlamamız, sonra dönüp kurban kesmemizdir. Kim böyle yaparsa sünnetimize uygun hareket etmiş olur. Kim de bundan önce keserse, o sadece ailesi için acele ettiği bir şeydir ve kurban (Nusuk) hükmünde sayılmaz.” Bunun üzerine bir adam ayağa kalktı ve dedi ki: “Ey Allah'ın Resûlü, ben (namazdan önce) kestim. Ancak benim yanımda yaşlı bir hayvandan daha hayırlı bir cüz'a (bir yaşını doldurmuş genç hayvan) var.” Nebi (s.a.v.) şöyle buyurdu: “Onu kes, fakat senden sonra hiç kimse için bu kâfi gelmeyecektir.”

Der Prophet (Friede sei mit ihm) ging am Tag des Opferfestes (Id-ul-Adha) zum Friedhof von Al-Baqi’, verrichtete dort zwei Rak'at im Gebet und wandte sich dann uns zu und sagte: „Wahrlich, unser erstes Ritual (Nusuk) an diesem unserem Tag ist es, mit dem Gebet zu beginnen und dann zurückzukehren und zu opfern (zu schlachten). Wer dies tut, hat unserer Sunnah zugestimmt. Wer jedoch vorher geschlachtet hat, so ist das lediglich etwas, das er für seine Familie vorzeitig erledigt hat, und es hat nichts mit dem Opfer (Nusuk) zu tun.“ Daraufhin stand ein Mann auf und sagte: „O Gesandter Allahs, ich habe (bereits) geschlachtet, aber ich besitze eine Jadh’ah (eine junge Ziege), die besser ist als ein älteres Tier (Musinnah).“ Er (der Prophet) sagte: „Schlachte sie, aber nach dir wird dies für niemanden anderen mehr genügen.“

The Imam faces the people while delivering the Khutna (religious talk) of Eid
The Prophet (ﷺ) went towards Al-Baqi (the graveyard at Medina) on the day of Id-ul-Adha and offered a two-rak`at prayer (of `Id-ul-Adha) and then faced us and said, "On this day of ours, our first act of worship is the offering of prayer and then we will return and slaughter the sacrifice, and whoever does this concords with our Sunna; and whoever slaughtered his sacrifice before that (i.e. before the prayer) then that was a thing which he prepared earlier for his family and it would not be considered as a Nusuk (sacrifice.)" A man stood up and said, "O, Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! I slaughtered (the animal before the prayer) but I have a young she-goat which is better than an older sheep." The Prophet (ﷺ) said to him, "Slaughter it. But a similar sacrifice will not be sufficient for anybody else after you."
