Chapter 16 · Invoking Allah for Rain (Istisqaa)اسْتِقْبَالِ الْقِبْلَةِ فِي الاِسْتِسْقَاءِ
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، أَنَّ عَبَّادَ بْنَ تَمِيمٍ، أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ زَيْدٍ الأَنْصَارِيَّ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم خَرَجَ إِلَى الْمُصَلَّى يُصَلِّي، وَأَنَّهُ لَمَّا دَعَا ـ أَوْ أَرَادَ أَنْ يَدْعُوَ ـ اسْتَقْبَلَ الْقِبْلَةَ وَحَوَّلَ رِدَاءَهُ. قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ابْنُ زَيْدٍ هَذَا مَازِنِيٌّ، وَالأَوَّلُ كُوفِيٌّ هُوَ ابْنُ يَزِيدَ.

Facing the Qiblah while offering the Istisqa' prayer
The Prophet (ﷺ) went out towards the Musalla in order to offer the Istisqa' prayer and when he intended to invoke (Allah) or started invoking, he faced the Qibla and turned his cloak inside out. Imam Abdullah Bukhari said: This Ibn-e-Zaid is Mazini and the first one is Koufi and he is Ibn-e-Yazeed.

Abdullah ibn Zayd al-Ansari berichtete, dass der Prophet (ﷺ) zum Musalla (Gebetsplatz) hinausging, um dort zu beten. Und als er das Bittgebet (Du'a) sprach – oder es beabsichtigte zu sprechen – wandte er sich der Qibla zu und kehrte seinen Umhang um.

Abdullah ibn Zeyd el-Ensari bildirdi ki, Nebi (ﷺ) namaz kılmak üzere Musalla'ya (açık namazgâha) çıktı. Dua ettiği yahut dua etmeye niyetlendiği zaman Kıble'ye yöneldi ve ridasını (üst giysisini) tersine çevirdi.
