Chapter 20 · Prayer at Night (Tahajjud)مَنْ نَامَ أَوَّلَ اللَّيْلِ وَأَحْيَا آخِرَهُ
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ،. وَحَدَّثَنِي سُلَيْمَانُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ الأَسْوَدِ، قَالَ سَأَلْتُ عَائِشَةَ ـ رضى الله عنها ـ كَيْفَ صَلاَةُ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِاللَّيْلِ قَالَتْ كَانَ يَنَامُ أَوَّلَهُ وَيَقُومُ آخِرَهُ، فَيُصَلِّي ثُمَّ يَرْجِعُ إِلَى فِرَاشِهِ، فَإِذَا أَذَّنَ الْمُؤَذِّنُ وَثَبَ، فَإِنْ كَانَ بِهِ حَاجَةٌ اغْتَسَلَ، وَإِلاَّ تَوَضَّأَ وَخَرَجَ.

Sleeping in the first part of the night and getting up in its last part
"How is the night prayer of the Prophet?" She replied, "He used to sleep early at night, and get up in its last part to pray, and then return to his bed. When the Mu'adh-dhin pronounced the Adhan, he would get up. If he was in need of a bath he would take it; otherwise he would perform ablution and then go out (for the prayer)."

Al-Aswad berichtete: Ich fragte Aischa (radiyallahu anha): „Wie war das Gebet des Propheten (ﷺ) in der Nacht?“ Sie antwortete: „Er pflegte im ersten Teil der Nacht zu schlafen und stand im letzten Teil der Nacht auf, um zu beten. Danach kehrte er zu seinem Bett zurück. Wenn der Muezzin den Adhān rief, sprang er auf. Hatte er die Notwendigkeit zur Ghusl (Ganzkörperwaschung), wusch er sich; andernfalls verrichtete er die Wudū' (Teilwaschung) und ging hinaus.“

Al-Aswad şöyle anlattı: Aişe'ye (radiyallahu anha) 'Peygamber'in (ﷺ) gece namazı nasıldı?' diye sordum. O şöyle cevapladı: 'Gecenin ilk kısmında uyur, son kısmında kalkar ve namaz kılardı. Sonra yatağına dönerdi. Müezzin ezan okuyunca hemen kalkardı. Eğer gusle ihtiyacı varsa gusleder, aksi takdirde abdest alır ve [namaz için] dışarı çıkardı.'
