Chapter 20 · Prayer at Night (Tahajjud)قِيَامِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِاللَّيْلِ فِي رَمَضَانَ وَغَيْرِهِ
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، أَنَّهُ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ، سَأَلَ عَائِشَةَ ـ رضى الله عنها ـ كَيْفَ كَانَتْ صَلاَةُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي رَمَضَانَ فَقَالَتْ مَا كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَزِيدُ فِي رَمَضَانَ وَلاَ فِي غَيْرِهِ عَلَى إِحْدَى عَشْرَةَ رَكْعَةً، يُصَلِّي أَرْبَعًا فَلاَ تَسَلْ عَنْ حُسْنِهِنَّ وَطُولِهِنَّ، ثُمَّ يُصَلِّي أَرْبَعًا فَلاَ تَسَلْ عَنْ حُسْنِهِنَّ وَطُولِهِنَّ، ثُمَّ يُصَلِّي ثَلاَثًا، قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَتَنَامُ قَبْلَ أَنْ تُوتِرَ. فَقَالَ " يَا عَائِشَةُ، إِنَّ عَيْنَىَّ تَنَامَانِ وَلاَ يَنَامُ قَلْبِي ".

I asked `Aisha رضی اللہ عنہا , "How is the prayer of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) during the month of Ramadan." She said, "Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) never exceeded eleven rak`at in Ramadan or in other months; he used to offer four rak`at-- do not ask me about their beauty and length, then four rak`at, do not ask me about their beauty and length, and then three rak`at." Aisha رضی اللہ عنہا further said, "I said, 'O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! Do you sleep before offering the witr prayer?' He replied, 'O `Aisha! My eyes sleep but my heart remains awake'!"

Abu Salama ibn Abdur-Rahman berichtete, dass er Aisha (Möge Allah mit ihr zufrieden sein) fragte: „Wie war das Gebet des Gesandten Allahs (ﷺ) während des Ramadans?“ Sie antwortete: „Der Gesandte Allahs (ﷺ) pflegte weder im Ramadan noch in einem anderen Monat mehr als elf Rak’at zu verrichten. Er betete vier Rak’at – frag nicht nach ihrer Schönheit und Länge. Dann betete er (wieder) vier Rak’at – frag nicht nach ihrer Schönheit und Länge. Danach betete er drei [Rak’at].“ Aisha fügte hinzu: „Ich sagte: ‚O Gesandter Allahs, schläfst du, bevor du Witr betest?‘ Er antwortete: ‚O Aisha, wahrlich, meine Augen schlafen, aber mein Herz schläft nicht.‘“

Ebu Seleme İbn Abdurrahman bildirmiştir ki, o, Aişe'ye (Allah ondan razı olsun) sordu: "Allah Resûlü'nün (ﷺ) Ramazan'daki namazı nasıldı?" O şöyle cevap verdi: "Allah Resûlü (ﷺ) Ramazan'da da Ramazan dışındaki aylarda da on bir rekâttan fazla kılmazdı. Dört rekât kılardı – onların güzelliğini ve uzunluğunu sorma. Sonra (yine) dört rekât daha kılardı – yine onların güzelliğini ve uzunluğunu sorma. Ardından da üç rekât kılardı." Aişe dedi ki: "Ben de şöyle sordum: 'Ey Allah'ın Resûlü! Vitir kılmadan önce uyuyor musun?'" Bunun üzerine O şöyle buyurdu: "Ey Aişe! Şüphesiz ki, benim gözlerim uyur, fakat kalbim uyumaz."
