Sahih

One who singles out some people for knowledge and not others, for fear that they will not understand

Translation

Anas ibn Malik reported that the Prophet ﷺ – while Mu'adh was riding behind him on the saddle – said, “O Mu'adh ibn Jabal!” He said, “Here I am, O Messenger of Allah, at your service.” He said, “O Mu'adh!” He said, “Here I am, O Messenger of Allah, at your service.” – three times. He said, “There is no one who testifies sincerely from his heart that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, except that Allah makes him forbidden to the Fire.” He said, “O Messenger of Allah, shall I not inform the people of it, so that they may rejoice?” He said, “Then they would rely (on it).” And Mu'adh related it at the time of his death, for fear of sinning (by concealing it).

Deutsch

Enes b. Mâlik (r.a.) şöyle rivayet etti: Muâz (r.a.) semer üzerinde Nebî'nin ﷺ terkisindeyken Nebî ﷺ, “Ey Muâz b. Cebel!” dedi. Muâz, “Buyur, ey Allah'ın Resûlü, emrine amadeyim” dedi. “Ey Muâz!” dedi. Muâz, “Buyur, ey Allah'ın Resûlü, emrine amadeyim” dedi. Bu üç defa (oldu). Nebî ﷺ şöyle buyurdu: “Kalbinden samimi olarak Allah'tan başka ilah olmadığına ve Muhammed'in Allah'ın Resûlü olduğuna şahitlik eden hiç kimse yoktur ki Allah onu cehenneme haram kılmasın.” Muâz, “Ey Allah'ın Resûlü, bunu insanlara haber vermeyeyim mi, sevinsinler?” dedi. Nebî ﷺ, “O zaman (buna) güvenip kalırlar” buyurdu. Muâz da (ilmi gizleme) günahından sakınarak bunu ölümü sırasında haber verdi.
