Chapter 4 · Ablutions (Wudu')
Sahih

One does not perform ablution because of doubt until one is certain

Translation

Abdullah ibn Zayd ibn Asim al-Mazini reported that the man who imagines that he feels something during the prayer complained to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He said, “He should not turn away – or: should not leave – until he hears a sound or perceives a smell.”

Translator’s note: What is meant is the feeling that ablution has been broken by passing wind.

Deutsch

Abdullah b. Zeyd b. Âsım el-Mâzinî (r.a.)
