Chapter 2 · Belief
Ingratitude toward the husband, and disbelief of a lesser degree than disbelief

Translation
Ibn Abbas reported: The Prophet ﷺ said, “I was shown the Fire, and most of its inhabitants were women; they are ungrateful.” It was asked, “Do they disbelieve in Allah?” He said, “They are ungrateful to their husbands and ungrateful for kindness. If you were good to one of them for a lifetime and then she saw something (displeasing) from you, she would say, ‘I have never seen any good from you.’”
Translator’s note: Wordplay: kafara means both “to disbelieve” and “to be ungrateful”.

Deutsch
İbn Abbâs (r.a.)
